The El Zahra Islamic Centre is excited to announce our first week of Ramadan Programs. We begin with on 12 March brothers discussion on Taqleed. On 14 March, we are excited to host our special guest Sheikh Mohammed Hourani who will be discussing Surat As-Saff, Imam Mahdi and the current global events that affect the Muslim Ummah. On 15 March, Sheikh Hourani will continue his discussion on Surat As-Saff which will be followed by campfire for the brothers to engage in important discussions relating to our duty to the Imam (aj). We will also have nightly Amal Ramadan including a Juz Quran and Dua Iftitah. We hope to see you all there In Sha Allah.

The ElZahra Centre is honoured to host our esteemed international guest speaker this Ramadan Sheikh Mohammad El-Chaer who will be joining us nightly at 9:00PM from the 19th to 26th of March.

When does Ramadan 2024 start ?

In sha’a Allah, Ramadan 2024 will start on Tuesday, 12th of March. In Melbourne, Fajr time on the first day of Ramadan will be at 05:57 and Maghrib time will be at 19:59 which is a 13 hour long fasting. 

When does Ramadan 2024 end ?

In sha’a Allah, Ramadan 2024 will end on Tuesday, 10th of April (subject to crescent moon sightings) . In Melbourne, Fajr time on the last day of Ramadan will be at 05:25 and Maghrib time will be at 18:16; which is 9 minutes short of a 13 hour long fasting. 

Will there be any special programs for Ramadan 2024?

El Zahra Islamic Community Centre in Hoppers Crossing has organised for a number of special events this Ramadan, In sha’a Allah. 

Our programs for Ramadan 2024 includes: 

• Nightly Quran, Dua and Amal
• Dua Kumayl (every Thursday)
• Lectures by Sheikh Mohammad Hourani
• Lectures by Sheikh Mohammad Chaer
• Celebrations for the birth of Imam Hassan (AS)
• Commemorations for the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS)
• Laylatul Qadr Amal 
• International Al Quds Day in support of our brothers and sisters in Palestine

How can I support the Ramadan 2024 programs at Hoppers Crossing? 

The best way to support the programs organised at El Zahra Islamic Community Centre for Ramadan 2024, is attending as many events as possible. Our centre welcomes all and our programs facilitate both Arabic and English speaking member of the community. So come along and make sure you come with your friends and families to make most out of Ramadan 2024.

When is Eid Al-Fitr 2024 celebrations?

In sha’a Allah, Eid Al-Fitr 2024 will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11th of April (subject to crescent moon sightings) . We look forward to celebrating Eid Al-Fitr with our brothers and sisters this year at El Zahra Islamic Centre – Melbourne this year In sha’a Allah. We will be sure to remind you prepare the charity for those in need and Eid gifts for your little ones!
